Precious Things…
Published by Becky August 30th, 2007 in GeneralIt feels like ages since I have had a couple of ’sane’ hours in the office to catch up on things. I say that with a bit of jest as I sit here with my head stuck in my computer trying to catch up on e-mails, invoicing, customer follow-up, forecasting, doing my pre-work for an upcoming training course, scheduling client meetings, yada yada yada… Sound familiar to anyone?
On top of all of that, I am absolutely starving because I rushed out of the house this morning without breakfast (and food is very important to me)! Then an angel appears - her name is Dinah. She has a plate full of the yummiest pasta you have ever tasted! So I wolf my pasta down doing work in between fork fulls. About an hour later doesn’t she appear again! This time with a cup of tea exactly the way I like it. As I sat and enjoyed my tea I realised how lucky I am to have such caring people around me in my work space. She doesn’t have to do it - she just always seems to know when I need a little pick me up.
So Dinah - this is me just taking a moment to say a special thank to you, and to Maria and Nomsa for taking such good care of us you precious things!
Becks xx

Becky, I agree with 100%!!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to say Thanks, I read the blog to Dinah and she was so chuffed.
And to Jules and Elaine too for feeding all us hungry wolves, I think the Avo lunch is one of the best parts of our day.

Hi all,
I have to agree with you Becks. Dinah and Maria always take such good care of us. They put so much effort into making us such yummy food. I am like you Becks - food is soooo important to me and i cannot function at work without it. When lunch comes around i know i am in for a good, wholesome meal to carry me through the rest of the day. These ladies work so hard and i love the laughs we share on a daily basis. I appreciate them so much - thanks guys! Thanks, too, to Nomsa and Evelyn for organising everything when it comes to our meals. You gals rock!!

Dinah: I am so proud of you. You have worked hard to train yourself to do many good things. You know so much about customer service. You set up all the things for the conference so well. You create happiness in so many people.
You are doing the best you can to build a great future for your children. I think they must be really proud of you too!
I just wanna say it is such a previlage to have Dinah and Mariah around when one is at Avo they definately know that they will be cared for and even if you are not in such a lekker mood just spending a few minutes with them will get you laughing to teers and in a much cheerful mood.Halala BOMAMA!
I dont know where to start about these precious woman that I and the Avo’s are blessed with. They are such a blessing to my soul in more ways than one, If they dont see me in the office they worry like my Bosses and this is because they want to laugh! The minute we see eachother we burst into this naughty laugh that only we understand. Thank you ladies for being a part of our lifes. Luv u lots.
Hey Dinah what would I do without you here. You are our life saver. Thank you for always looking after me. I have watched how you have developed over the years; you are now running this conference venue with passion and pride. I am proud of you. Well done. Keep going.
It is people like Dinah and Maria that make Avo that extra bit special!! Not only do they make the most wholesome, scrumptious lunches for us, but it is just so wonderful to arrive at work in the mornings and have a cheerful greeting and good laugh (not only are they good cooks but have hellava sense of humour!!). Thanks for the smiles and carbohydrates ladies - it goes a long way in fueling the soul!!
Dinah… the magical provider…. you take all the stress away from us, and keep us healthy! I am not sure that you realise what a difference it makes to not have to worry about acratching around for your lunchbox in the morning. Thank you so much for all of the effort you have put in over the last months…your menu has grown beyond belief, and we just love eating your food! A big heart felt thank you!
