Carin’s amazing (yes, amazing) new tattoo
Published by Carin October 16th, 2007 in GeneralI’m sorry to have to say it, but it’s true… . My boss has influenced me, and I now have a fabulous new body art addition to be proud of.
It’s safe to say that I influenced her too (okay, pushed, a little…) into getting her first ever (who could forget, it had it’s own blog after all!), and so, therefore, the influencing was mutual! The conversation went something like this:
Elaine: “Carin, I want to get a tattoo, will you come with me tomorrow?”
Me: (After a quick check in my diary - time management after all!) “Sorry, can’t tomorrow, but I can do today”.
Elaine: “Oh, okay…”
After which a prompt phonecall was made to the nearest tattoo place and some internet searches done for designs, and off we went… .
I’m such a good employee, hey bosses?
But, as those of you who have indulged in a little permanent body art would know, it’s addictive. This is one of those things that people who don’t have tattoo’s don’t believe, but have just one, and you’ve got the itch!
So while I’ve been contemplating number four for a while (and have, hence this blog, since done), Elaine is already, after only a few weeks, planning number two.
What an inspiration!
May I just say, I did not, in any way, influence the possible new one, but that I support it 100%. Elaine - don’t forget to take me with you, I’m your tattoo buddy!
Now you all have my permission to leave comments on how gorgeous mine is. I know you want to.

And yes, putting up pictures of my feet is really weird!
Oooh,la la gurl!
Very nice, loving the vine thing you were stressing about. Maybe i should bring you down to P.E and kick my ass into a tattoo studio:-)
Luvies
Mmmm - whilst your tattoo is rather a nice design, i need to move away from that point and carry on my message about how our younger Avo’s are being influenced by Elaine and her irresponsible move to get a tattoo.
As forcasted in my initial blog, the younger Avo’s have been misguided and influenced - before we know it, Tazzy will be going for her first tattoo, as well as Anabela and probably followed by Vince and Jono - it is a downward journey from here!
Elaine - all these young impressionable people have mothers. Have you spared a thought how hard it must be for these mom’s to see their precious children scribbled all over with what is tantamount to a permanent marker. Elaine - i leave you with one question: What if it were Jordan or Luca??
J, J, J, J… I hear you, I really do. But:
1. Anabela has already got her number 1.
2. When I showed my mom, she said it was, and I quote, “Boring”.
I think it’s time for your group intervention - Elaine!…..
You chicks are unreal! I must say that it did make me think (….only for a second) that I might want one. I think that having your tatoo on your foot is quite stunning! Where else do you find a boss going with an employee to get a tatoo? That’s why Avo rocks!
You okes are mashooga! One day it will be all saggy and wirinkly!
No Jules, that’s why we place them strategically… in no sag places.
Jules, I think it’s time for us to have a bonding session in the tattoo parlour. Come you go get one with me. An avo tree or some, but again in a very strategic place…very important if you are having an avo done.
Jeanette who i too love and adore, eish chick, come on baby come with me, come over to my sad. I LOVE my tattoo. And Jordan and Luca…as long as they are 18 years old and as long as it’s a dragon. It’s all good.
Now as for the rest of my darling Avo’s I am back in town next Wednesday, if anyone would like a tattoo done please schedule time with Lele, and we will all go off together to get it done !!!!
So me darlings I love you and miss you and eagerly await our tattoo dates !!!
The sagging bit is a little worrying - i am with you on that one Jules!. Firstly, some thoughts about getting an Avo tree tattoo - in a few years the Avos will look like they are dropping (drooping!) off the tree. Secondly, this net work of stars and dragons strategically placed on the side of the foot - although that is traditionally a non sagging area - it might look like a network of varicous veins in a years to come!!
Vanessa was just telling me the other day, that she knows someone (?) with an ant tattoo and as the years have passed it looks like a palm tree!
Gilly bean - you wise, wise girl - i am very proud of you for over coming your temptation!
Elaine - my darling women, i can’t come over to your side - i have too many issues already!!
Yay!…
Jeanette,to sag or not to sag now that is the issue…suppose we could all always go for those wonderful operations that make things smooth and tight and youthful looking….Then we can all bring sexy back…What you think?
Personally I feel that every avo needs to have an avo tattoo as a declaration of their love for all things Avo.
A sort of induction into our AVO WORLD. With the inscription thing :Avo Rules !!!
So lovely Avo people can we do a drinkie poo at Avo next friday, then we can compare tattoos and we can compare sags….
Scary thought
Once again I read these comments from my lovely colleagues and I really think we have all gone a bit mad!
But getting to the heart of the matter - yes Carin - your tattoo is beautiful (and so are your feet!). I have never had the balls to get a tattoo so I will live vicariously through you chicks! Although the thought of an Avo tree is somewhat appealing…
Becks xx
Ja, lost it!
You can live vicariously through me anyday…
Becky - i knew about your penis envy, but i did not know about your foot fetish!!
You are not well sis, but thats why i love you.
It is lovely but you make Hayley and me jealous and now also have tat itch.
Take care sis.
Love you.
Love us.
