But thinking about it I realised that she was not, really it was just my perception. When you arrived with us you certainly made your presence felt, although young, you took us on as best you could. Managing Jules and me is not really an easy thing to do and was perhaps a bit of a shock to your system, sorry. But you definitely had gumption, the office became a lot more chatty and friendly and engaging to such a point that I'm sure you'll remember my ‘headphones over the ears and lots of U2’ system to try and block out a bit of the um… noise. You wern't afraid to ask us stuff, chat to clients and suppliers on the phone or just get on and organise things and stuff. You were our first Avo Air-Traffic-Control and did just about everything and in a very nice way pushed yourself into our lives and business and that takes confidence and gumption. So although when you arrived you were young you made it happen for yourself. You have been part of the Avo culture of ‘take charge’, ‘take responsibility’, ‘there are no instructions find your own way’, ‘find your own groove’ it's been there all the time (hey it started with Jules what do expect) and now its part of our blueprint - Self Driven and Engaged and Passionate. So Carin well done for finding your own groove, making your own learning, setting your own direction, making it happen for yourself (Which you are doing again) and being Self Driven and Engaged and Passionate. I knew you were a girl with a big future, and I wanted you on my team! You have grown so solidly into the woman you are now (and shrunk significantly in the chest department!). From shy, chatty, ditsy PA, you have grown into confident, skilled, self aware, positive, constructive, organised, successful, respected, warm, supportive work colleague who we are all so sad to see go! I wish you joy, growth, and success on your journey. Maybe we will be so lucky as to have our paths cross again some day! Your legacy to Avo will live on in the beautiful logo you made that keeps as a constant reminder to us of what we're about, and the spirit of Carin that stays in this space! Love you, precious girl!
