She truly is an incredible woman.

What inspired me most about her is her 'human-ness' (in German I think they refer to it as being a "mensch") There is no pretense about her. She values herself and others around her very highly, no matter who they are. She is interested in people, in politics, in society, but not on a merely intellectual level; she takes it all personally. She does not wait for someone else to fix what is wrong in the world, she gets stuck in and does the work.

She makes it look so simple: this challenge of being true to yourself and making a difference. Her message is so clear, so positive, so hopeful, so rallying that it is almost impossible NOT to believe in a brighter future for all!

Reminds me of another visionary woman we have in our midst, doesn't it Avo's?

Oh, and before I forget, I just have to say that while Jules had Dr Ramphele all to yourself...I was lucky enough to sit next to Professor Thabane Vincent Maphai! What a night!

Mamphele has been a legend of mine for a long time too. She lectured me many years ago as a colleague of Francis Wilson. I remember her power, even as a fresh faced 18 year old. Jules, when I met you, your personal power also made a very quick impression. Thinking of the 2 of you together... gives me goos bumps. Go universe... go!
