Janine Millhouse

No jargon - just plain and simple - I love supporting people in being the best they can be.

My coaching is about YOU. In my coaching model I get you to be curious about YOU, really dig deep to find all the wonderful ‘juicy’ bits that make you happy. Yes, you do all the work but every step of the way I am right next to you, encouraging you, supporting you and sometimes challenging you and that’s because I refuse to support the voices in your head that say “I cant…do/be”.

The only thing that little voice supports is you being in your comfort zone or keeping yourself small, unhappy, frustrated and resigned. I am interested in what you choose to achieve in this life. I will open your mind to possibility, and let you see that you can achieve anything that you are committed to achieve. If there is any doubt in your mind of that, then ask yourself “What am I choosing in my life right now that inspires me?”.

Life has been a stunning university for me although at the time it didn’t feel that way… When I turned 35 I needed a holiday but couldn’t afford to do so… I embarked on a HUGE change in my life and this is where I realised I have so much to offer in supporting people to grow and learn and really love living. And ja, life’s university is great but not enough to become a coach. So I experienced a coaching course of note, loved it, grew taller and taller and now all I want to do is share this with my clients. I studied coaching with the Creative Consciousness International Coaching Academy. I am also currently doing NLP Practitioners as well as Assessor Accreditation and a BA (Pschology and Communication) through UNISA. I am a member of the International Coaching Federation as well as COMENSA.

I facilitate workshops and group coaching interactions as well as one-on-one work with clients, my clients range from business executives to teens. I have worked with corporate companies, training companies and schools.

Running a successful business for 16 years has given me a great understanding of putting the pieces of the puzzle together. In my opinion people are the business and if you want a truly inspired organisation you need a truly inspired workforce but what inspires the individuals within your organisation? Finding the answer to this question is fundamental in building a solid foundation for you to construct your organisation on, big or small.

My favourite quote (and I don’t know where it comes from) is “Why do we try so hard to fit in, when we’re in fact born to stand out?”. What makes you stand out?

Catherine Ciolli

My model is very simple. In its simplicity lies its success, in that it speaks to the belief I hold dearly, “To be authentic is the key to being truly successful and creating the world you want”. And that is a simple philosophy, although not always so simple to achieve… .

This model described is based on some beliefs of my own:

  • We have the power to create our reality. This ability starts with how we think; our resulting emotions and attitudes, and our subsequent behaviour.
  • The external environment is in some way a reflection of our internal environment.
  • We have the resources to solve our problems and move towards our goals.

My areas of expertise are:

  • Personal Development
  • Transfer coaching skills to the client
  • Using the relationship to challenge and develop the client
  • Setting and achieving goals

My coaching style is very process orientated. I have a framework and a model, but I don’t strictly follow the model. I focus strongly on the personal development that needs to take place to change the individual’s world in a way that produces the results they want. This change starts with them. Therefore the way I work is adaptable and flexible and dependant on what the client needs within the framework described above.

I also focus strongly on setting clear goals, and striving to reach them; which I feel maximises development, by creating a tension between what is, and what is wished for. If it makes sense for you, if you want to create a reality around you that reflects the best of you, then perhaps I can assist you.

I’m accredited by COMENSA, and have had the priviledge to work with Santam, Standard Bank, Anglo Coal, Anglo Platinum, Primedia, Accenture, Absa, Nedcor, FNB, Sasol and Sappi among others.

I leave you with my favourite quote, from Stephen Covey:

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space lie our freedom and power to choose our response. In those choices lie our growth and happiness.”

Kate Emmerson

I have a somewhat different approach to many coaches, in that I focus on getting stuck in and helping clients get their act together right now. Life is way too short to take anything for granted, so simply stop messing around and just do it. Whatever ‘it‘ happens to be for you.

My energy and enthusiastic approach to life attract people who are looking for creative solutions to lead more meaningful, juicy lives, and strength-filled passionate lives. I currently divide my time between my individual clients, running email programmes internationally, effective workshops, training in corporates and creating new material all the time.

Trained in the UK as a Master Life Coach (LCSi, Member of Association for Coaching UK and South African COMENSA), I also incorporate NLP techniques, and the unique EFT. I call on my qualifications of Industrial Psychology, Industrial Relations, Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Stress Management. My background includes a succesful Aromatherapy practice, owning a Holistic centre, Training, as well as a deep love and understanding of all aspects of the food and hospitality industry.

I am a natural entrepreneur with a wonderful combination of experiences and am committed to assisting clients to step into a life they love. I will often challenge you with “Why wait?”. We are never assured of tomorrow, so the trick is to decide what you really want in life, create the corresponding goals, and then start living each day as if it was your last. Get involved with your life and that leads directly to happiness.

My life purpose is to actively support women on the threshold of making courageous leaps in their lives, no matter what those leaps are and where they may take you. I am committed to assisting you in discovering your unique life signature. Now doesn’t that sound awesome!

I’m an executive and integral coach working in leading South African organisations. I’m the owner of Distinctions Executive & Business Coaching, a Johannesburg based coaching practice. I have been a coach and/or manager for eight years. I have always used coaching as the most important tool in my management toolkit and I have combined management and coaching in every role that I have ever had.

Coaching philosophy / approach:

I believe coaching is about helping people find their own tools to enable themselves and their teams to shine. A coach is there to help an individual discover their strengths. It’s important for me to understand who my coachee is as I get to know you better, it’s so much easier for me to help you unlock your personal keys to success. I try to be as straightforward and truthful as I can so that people can grow from the feedback I give them.

Strengths as a coach:

I am good at listening: probably the most important thing a coach must do.

What makes me passionate about coaching:

There’s nothing more exciting for me, than having the privilege of being invited into someone else’s world for a while, and being allowed to have the objective, outsider’s point of view. And then there’s the part where people have those ‘aha’-moments that change their personal paths forever. I feel that it’s wonderful to be able to walk with my coachee’s through those moments.

To select me as your coach please email Carla-jo Barry.

Pascale Schroenn

I am passionate about the self management and interpersonal skills development of myself and people I work with. This is what drives and motivates me because at the end of the day, those skills are, what I believe, the deciding factor of success in life. There is nothing more rewarding for me as a facilitator and coach to know that someone has changed some aspect of their life, through our interaction.

There are two areas of focus that I enjoy and where I believe that the right self management skills can make a difference.

The workplace:

We are no longer guaranteed a job for life in today’s working environment. Gone are the days where we could just do our jobs and expect a pay check at the end of the month. Therefore we need to ensure that we are taking control of our own marketability and employability.

The bigger picture:

I love to help people take a holistic look at their lives, where they are at and where they want to be. To be successful you need to take responsibility for your own choices, career and life. At the end of the day, you are the CEO of your own life.

My strengths as a coach:

My strengths as a coach are my ability to truly connect with my client and step into their vision; my creativity; my intuition and my ability to stretch you.

Why should I be your coach?:

My reply is that I have twelve years of experience in consulting, training and soft skills facilitation. Over the past three years I have been developing my skill set to empower myself as a life skills coach and I believe that I have knowledge, experience, ability and passion in this field. My relationship with you will be based on honesty, respect, confidentiality, professionalism and my unwavering believe in your unlimited potential.
If you’d like to have me as your coach, please e-mail Carla-jo Barry.

I’m passionate about diversity whether it’s diversity of people, ideas or experiences, and have incorporated this passion into my work. My personal journey has been both challenging and rewarding, and has led me to develop strong inner power, fierce courage and ongoing curiosity, learning and growth. Out of this journey, I have created an individual and team-coaching programme, “The Authentic Leadership Programme”.

My qualities also play out in my coaching, where I coach with what is described as ‘backbone and heart’. I create a safe and supportive space for transformational conversations, which lead my coachees to achieve meaningful success. I see the immense value in my coachees that often they themselves don’t see. My coaching holds a mirror that challenges coachees both to be authentic and to achieve outstanding results in their organisations and careers.

I run Moya Transformation Facilitators, and focus mainly on working with those key individuals and teams within organisations, needing and wanting to be the best they can be, in order to perform at their fullest potential. I do this by supporting them in a journey towards self-leadership and power within, allowing them to build up and optimally use further skills required to perform excellently within their required contexts.

My clients include senior and middle management, entrepreuners, academics, authors and public speakers.

I also hold memberships with the International Society of Neuro-Semantics (ISNS), COMENSA (Coaches and Mentors of South Africa) and the Business Woman’s Association (BWA).
