We’re a company that thrives on the communication, training and connecting space. We love to empower our clients by giving them the tools necessary to become powerful communicators and it’s so exciting for us to watch them grow and develop and see ourselves mirrored in that space alongside them. It excites us and delights us to be able to find the communication solutions you might need!
Here’s a peek at the programmes we offer:
If you’re terrified of presentations or public speaking, our On the Spot (Presentation Skills) workshop will teach you all the skills you need to know to become a truly masterful presenter. This includes body language, keeping the audience engaged and compiling a structured, concise presentation.
NeGOtiate is a great workshop for an understanding of theoretical aspects of negotiation. You’ll get a chance to practice and apply the theory and techniques in everyday situations, as well as gain an understanding of required behaviour needed for persuasive negotiation.
With our Let’s Talk! workshop you’ll gain a greater understanding of the nature of persuasive conversations and the associated benefits. You’ll understand the behaviours of everyone involved and be able to apply the skills learned about interpersonal communication when developing and delivering persuasive presentations.
To take your presentation skills to a more advanced level, try the Boardroom Tap-dance to enhance and fine tune existing skills.
We have a Sussing Personalities workshop that will help you gain insight into the typical behaviours of the four primary personality types. Understand how to recognise the behaviours of the different personalities in a working environment, what motivates each personality type and how each type prefers to interact.
It’s always easy to identify our weaknesses, but ask someone what their strengths are and you’re likely to hear a bit more ‘umm-ing’ and ‘ah-ing’ before you get an answer, if you get an answer at all. Try our Play to your Strengths programme to turn that around.
PowerPoint for Presenters is a great workshop if you want slides to support your presentation, rather than be the presentation. It will also help you prepare a slide presentation with clearly defined structure and content and decode complicated data in a way that talks to less graph-literate audiences.
24/7 Manage Your Life (Time Management) is a half day workshop that will help you understand the principles of time management, identify time management profiles and draw up efficient work plans to carry out specific work functions, as well as implementing those plans.
If you’re interested in Cultural Diversity, we can help you go one level deeper with your team. With our Descansos / I Remember programme, get to meet some great South Africans who share their stories and find out how valuable this can be for your organisation.
If you’re a manager (or have just become a manager or have a team of managers), we suggest the Management and Leadership Development Programme. Learn how to become a more effective manager of others by becoming a more effective manager of self, through
the medium of one-on-one coaching.
The Dating Game is a great tool for Call Centre agents to learn how to deal more effectively with call centre customers.

If you’re interested in establishing your own personal brand, try our Brand of One talk. You’ll understand what a personal brand is, begin to identify and enhance that brand and hold a conversation without damaging your brand.
No company can survive without sales, so for sales relationship building attend the Death of the Salesman talk. You’ll come to an understanding of why salespeople need to be reinventing their sales role, have effective communication skills and how to tune in to customers.
Coaching is a great learning tool and we have a full day workshop called Coaching Conversations, which is about maximising the managers effectiveness as a coach for their team. The workshop will clarify any perceptions and misunderstanding’s about coaching and will help you understand exactly what coaching is and how it differs from other forms of learning and management styles. You’ll realise the value in using coaching as a managment tool and understand crucial qualities and behaviours required for effective coaching.
We also have Executive and Performance Coaching which supports managers as they transform themselves. Through the hourly sessions, managers will gain an improved knowledge of self and staff, improve relations with staff, will have a better self image and come to be a better manager of people. It will also help managers come to a better understanding of their own and others strengths.
Participlan is a mind-mapping communication tool that enables people to have more effective meetings, strategy sessions and brain storming sessions.
For team bonding, try Innovation @ Work. It’s a no pressure, time-out, creative bonding session. Team members will gain an understanding of their role and strength in the team, they’ll work on developing interpersonal relationships and understand the importance of developing creative opportunties at work.
Our favourite team build is the Ama Zing-Zing Race. It’s a fun team build that offers an intercultural experience, an opprtunity to bond with colleagues and get something personal and special for an orphan.
The Apprentice Challenge is an innovative team build that’s a fun application of basic business principles with a charitable twist.
Another product that we offer for teams is Pirates, Popcorn and the Corporate Fable. It allows members of the team to connect at a deeper level of trust and insight, making for a more cohesive team.
And if we don’t have what you want in our core range of products… no problem, we’ll design something that suits your needs perfectly. Over the last 3 years, Avo Vision has become particularly well known for partnering clients to build learning solutions that are specifically designed for the organisation and its unique needs.
We call it the Design Deli.
Avo rallies together a team of experienced people who are able to build brand new learning solutions that are fresh and innovative. We harness the latest thinking in terms of how adults prefer to learn. Our designers are creative and clever, and our courses have that special “sizzle” that Avo is so well known for. We are able to revamp existing courses, or work with your business to scope out exactly what you need to design a learning solution from scratch.
We produce sexy learner guides, user-friendly facilitator guides, power-point slide packs, creative activity packs, pre- and post-work and course assessments if necessary. Over the last 3 years, over half of our business seems to be design work…. Sjoe! We must be doing something right
